The next product is humate or leonardite, this is a necessary component in improving all soils. It works on an electrical, chemical, micro organic level. The beneficial micro organisms recognize it as a food source. Its electrical exchange unlocks many of the bound minerals and allows the plants to use them. In many instances we have sufficient minerals in the soil, but they become locked by chemical and electrical reactions and are unusable to the plants. Humate is the key for unlocking your mineral storehouse.

Another key for increasing your soil health is a product called "Micro Grow". In many instances, through the indiscriminate use of pesticide, herbicides, and fungicides we have destroyed 90% of the beneficial microorganisms in the soil. Therefore I recommend the use of bio-inucullants.

"Micro Grow" is a product which installs billions of beneficial micro-organisms back into your lifeless semi-sterile soil. When applying this product include molasses in the solution. The micro-organisms recognize it as an instant food source. They eat, reproduce, and multiply in a matter of minutes instead of hours, due to the fact they don't need to seek out a food source. The second generation picks up the humate as its food, and the cycle begins again. Last but not, least sulfur. Sulfur has many beneficial properties for soil and plant health. Number one sulfur helps to balance the pH in the soil, most plants are happy and healthy between 5.5 and 6.5 on the pH scale. Sulfur tends to bring high pH lower and low pH higher. it also acts as an insect repellent once the plants uptakes it into it's system. It helps in giving overall good health and vibrant color. Color is important because deep green leaves are much more efficient than light green or yellow leaves in photosynthesis, which is what keeps plants alive.

I know we have not covered much on food growing this month but we must begin on the foundation. Our soils are our lifeblood and the most precious asset we have on this planet. If our soils die, we all die. Feed the soil and you feed all of humanity.
