Gratitude: The Gift of the Masters

Each new year equals a new cycle. In numerology, 1999 adds up to a “1” year. A one year gives you the opportunity to begin anew. With this new energy, we as conscious citizens of this great planet are now ready to allow the work we did on ourselves and on our planet to take seed, blooming into new adventures and challenges for this new 13 moon cycle.

As we begin this new year, we start with goals and resolutions of what we want our lives to be. It is important to be kind to yourselves, setting up only goals that you feel you can achieve. Do not force yourself into taking rigid stands which may cause you to build up resistance to your own healing. The more we try to make something happen, the more resistance we experience. Make resolutions within a frame- work that you feel comfortable with. If you wish to break a habit, then state: “I would like this habit to be gently removed from my desires.” Then each time that habit comes up, ask yourself, “what aspect in me wants this, and how does it serve me?” Take a breath or two, then make a conscious decision, “is this what you want to do.” Remember the kinder you are with you, the kinder others will be, too! As you feel a desire to release that which no longer serves, cleaning up those old places within your lives that were left unattended, look into those areas with peace, and allow healing to take place.

1999 will offer many challenges in our lives as every year does. Technology with its many gifts has a down side in the way it affects our emotional body or how we feel. Low frequency vibrations are emitted through cell phones, microwaves, televisions, computers & electrical lines, etc., affecting our emotional as well as physical bodies. We literally are experiencing everything in our world. We are living at a time when we are expanding our understanding of ourselves and our universe faster than ever before.

Many of the things we think and feel are generated around us. Sometime what we are feeling may not be just our stuff, it may be mass consciousness. Fear, anger, depression, and worry then easily run rampant in our emotions. It is important to practice controlling what we think and what we feel. Fear is a great emotion that can literally stop us in our tracks. We all experience fear in different ways. For myself a little game I play when something is frightening me is to face it immediately. If it is a phone call or a letter or even a situation, I ask myself; “What is the worst that could happen? Is this going to kill me, hurt me, or stop my world from existing?” Then I listen to what my mind says to me. I feel where in the body this energy is residing, then I make a decision that will serve my highest good. It is not always easy, and it may not feel good, but when I complete the task, freedom flows inside of me.

All things we experience in our lives are stages of consciousness. When we are in a lower stage it is hard to see anything except where we are in our minds and emotions. As our energy or attention raises to another level it is easy to look and see where we were and why it seemed so difficult.

Life flows in cycles. Regardless of where you are now, you will cycle through your life from one experience to    another. Practicing gratitude is a wonderful way to raise your energy level. Gratitude can and will raise your vibrations so that low vibrational frequencies and the thoughts of other do not affect you. Remember when you are happy you are less affected by the world around you. Gratitude is a higher state of consciousness. It is where the blessing of grace flows forth. It is where angels, masters, guides and the greatest of teachers reside. When you practice gratitude, you allow these wonderful beings to work with you. A good technique to use this new year is to, before getting out of bed in the morning, recite things in your life that you are grateful for, things you may have take for granted: your eyes and being able to see, your ears and the incredible gift of hearing, your teeth and the ability to chew your food. As you begin this exercise, the list will grow longer. You realize how lucky you are, and all the gifts spirit gives you. Then, as you lie there being grateful, begin to breath in your mouth, taking in deep breaths of gratitude and exhaling though your nose anything that was blocking your joy. Do this for ten breaths and notice how the energy in your body begins to rise to a higher vibration. This will allow your guides and angels to assist you in a closer relationship throughout the day. Anytime during the day when you remember, take a few breaths, breathing in the life of spirit though your mouth and releasing the negative through the out breath of your nose.

Gratitude is as real as you are. The more you practice being in that vibration the more of this quality you will receive. Be grateful, and be happy this new year.
