Yantra Amaro
World renowned meditation master, The Venerable Phra Ajhan Yantra Amaro, a Thai Buddhist Monk who, after spending more than twelve years in the deep jungle, living in solitude & practicing meditation, has taught and established monasteries around the world. He was given the monastic name of Phra Ajahn Yantra Amaro in 1974. As a forest monk, he devoted his life to meditation, traveling and teaching Dhamma throughout Thailand, and later all over the world. He has established many monasteries in Thailand, and branches in Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, & the United States. He is currently traveling coast to coast in this country conducting a Y2K Dhamma Tour with 12 other monks. His teachings focus on loving kindness, sharing, and giving so that the world will be a better place to live. Most important of all his teachings is The Power of Mindfulness which he states can bring about calmness which in turn will result in concentration and wisdom and with these tools one is better able to cope with the daily difficulties of the worldly life.
