DANCIN’ WITH THE ONE THAT BRUNG YA’

~ THE CHRIST AWAKENING ~

TEXAS STYLE

by Timothy Ernster

The spiritual “good news” that is currently moving its vibratory frequency across the Lone Star state is that the Christ is coming to Texas. The frequency is subtle and slips silently into and out of the consciousness like a seductive shadow of the night. It haunts our dream states and passes eloquently from the mouths of teachers and channels and spiritualists of every ilk. Softly it is whispered within the corridors of the souls of awakening seekers. The Second Coming is upon us. And it is not happening in the Jerusalem of old but in the New Jerusalem where “the stars at night are big and bright” and the bible belt is still tautly strung across the state’s midsection. Here? Deep in the heart of? No way! . . . Way! The Christ is coming to Texas. He is wearing cowboy boots and Wrangler jeans. She is driving an SUV and loves Celine Dion. He is into Yoga and the Texas-two-step. She is a mother of four and takes Aura photographs. He lawyers from atop the Transco Tower in Houston. She is a massage therapist and a Reiki Master. He pushes tools in the Texas oil fields. She teaches second graders and loves to garden. He runs a hospice for children with AIDS. She facilitates a metaphysical bookstore and healing center. He is a real estate magnate with a passion for transcendent meditation. She waits tables at On The Border Restaurant and secretly studies Conversations with God. He lives in Waco and creates music that   quickens the soul. She is a grandmother in Conroe that was reading Edgar Cayce long before many of us were born. The Christ is coming to Texas!

Doubt it not. There is a spiritual awakening that is deeply rooted in fertile Texas soil and blossoming as abundantly as a field of bluebonnets on a sunny spring afternoon. No longer is the blossoming restricted to pockets of enlightenment in the inner cities. In the most provincial of small towns and the in the extremities of suburbia, in the midst of apparently arid desert consciousness, the pregnant buds begin to unfold. The calling is from deep within, restrictive religious dogmas are shattered in an instant like fragile Venetian glass. Hearts and minds open to new possibilities. The soul cries out for greater truth, greater peace, love that is unconditional – God.

The Christ is coming to Texas. She can not be kept at bay. The time is come. Born of innocence, she begins to walk. She is each of us. He is all of us – awakening to the Presence of God Within, shifting from the consciousness of God as something or someone to pray to and fear into the consciousness of God as something to be realized as our Selves. That is the Christ that begins to walk now across Texas - the human man, the human woman, you and I, acknowledging our Divine Nature, calling it forth into our consciousness as a demonstrated expression of our Selves. Marrying the human and the Divine, we walk, an entrancing, uplifting waltz of our own design, dancin finally once again with “the One who brung us”. We are not like the Christs of old. We are contemporary Christs. No more the robes and sandals. No more the caves of solitude. We are contemporary Christs. We move in our contemporary, Western world living our contemporary Western lives, conscious of the presence of God within us, ever growing in our love of self, our love for one another, accomplishing communion with that which birthed us in the beginning. We demonstrate our goodness. We demonstrate our love. We demonstrate our compassion. We are aware that we are One. Although still uncertain and unsteady, we wear the cloak of a Christ, we live “as if” in order to fully become. Yes, the Second Coming is upon us. And it looks like you. And it happens here. Deep in the heart of Texas. Who would have thought! Many in the New Age metaphysical world would scoff at the idea, for everyone knows that Texas is a place of great  density. It is no California, they will  proclaim. Indeed it is not. We are the innocent ones. We are the hungry ones. The density of consciousness from which we are being re-birthed serves to propel us into greater heights like a coiled spring pressed into tightest     compaction and then released into freedom. It has been spoken by many Masters that the journey of God in the experience called human is to journey as deep into ignorance, as deep into   forgetfulness of our divinity as we could possibly go without totally self destructing and then, having reached that deepest darkest point in density, to awaken to the truth and allow God to be present in this extremity of ignorance, this extremity of separation from awareness of the Divine Self. In so doing, light is brought into the depths of darkness and the awareness of God is expanded into realms heretofore unknown.

Texas can be seen as one of these “realms”, for the collective consciousness here has held itself as separate from the God it worships as is possible in third dimension. How perfect then that the awakening now occurs here. How perfect that, one by one, the spark of truth ignites within us. How perfect that we are now questioning the dogmas of our conditioning. How perfect that this place that we love becomes an oasis of the Consciousness called Christ.

Let us celebrate this sacred place and our time within it. Let us give acknowledgement to what is occurring here. Let us give support to one another as the remembering begins and the questions and uncertainties rise to the surface. Wherever you are, there is another just like you. Seek them out. Nourish one another. Listen together for this sweet music, this good news. Allow yourselves to be bathed in its quickening vibration. Let yourselves rise and begin the dance. The Christ is coming to Texas. Wrap yourself in the tender arms of the “One who brung ya” and let the waltz  begin.
