A Spiritual Cybermall

A SPIRITUAL CYBERMALL: A UNIQUE INTERNET TWIST

Cybermalls are great services for people who cannot get out and go shopping, or for those who live so far away that they cannot get to a particular mall.

So would a spiritual cypermall. Imagine a customer in Zimbabwe or England who wants to purchase essential oils, crystals, or an astrology chart for a new grandchild. Could they purchase these items online? I have not seen an online spiritual cybermall, but that does not mean there isn’t one. If there isn’t, there is one in the works, the IndigoMall.

To get started in this quest as webmaster for the Indigo Sun, first I decided to see how an onine transaction takes place. When the idea of a spiritual cybermall for the Indigo Sun came into being, I explored WalMart’s website to see what a shopping mall was all about.

If you have been to WalMart, and like their products and prices, they also have an excellent website. I went into the website at www.walmart.com, and found the items they had for sale online. I decided to buy something there just to go through the process. I picked out some socks that were on sale (can always use a new pair of socks), and put them in my shopping cart.

Then, I went to the process area, entered my name, address (so they would know where to send it), my email address, a credit card number, and followed the procedure to the end. I got a confirmation that the item had been ordered, and the amount processed on my credit card. I was told the item would be shipped by UPS.

Two days later, I got a confirmation email that the socks had been shipped, and the tracking number by UPS. Then, on the third day, a friendly UPS courier appeared at my door with my socks, and I never had to leave my house!

What has Walmart got to do with spiritual cybermalls? The fact is that we can set up a similar service for the Indigo Sun, and are in the process of making this dream a reality.

Imagine that you see a beautiful crystal that you want, or jewelry, or an intriguing book, or a spiritual healing service, or even send in a concern to a Tarot card reader. Astrology charts could be ordered, paid for, and sent back to you by email or in the regular mail. Special healing herbs, foods, incense, almost anything you could get in a regular store could be ordered online. All sorts of gifts for loved ones could be ordered, and sent to them direct. Say you live in Houston, and the item is in Dallas. Instead of calling them, you check the item, put it in your shopping cart, fill out the necessary information, and punch a button. In a couple of days, your item arrives, just like my socks did.

Online credit card use is not the only way that online shopping can occur. Carmel Temple already has a way that people for people to order tapes online of services they missed of a particular speaker. In the library, there is a button to click where you can download or print out an order form. Then, you simply fill out the order form, and mail it to the address on the order form.

A spiritiuual shopping mall, say, the IndigoMall, could include merchants that are already advertising in the Indigo Sun magazine.

Although there are some merchants that could not perform a service over Internet, many can. The others can let you know where they are, set up appointments on Intenet, and even receive payment in advance, so that when you go to recieve massage therapy, or reiki, you would simply walk in, receive a treatment, and leave, (all bills are paid in advance, so less time is spent on signing in, paying the bill, or getting the credit card approved). This would mean you might be able to recieve a service at lunch that you could not before. Today the IndigoMall is a dream, but all manifestations begin as dreams. Look for the IndigoMall to appear!
