Your home is a sanctuary for you and your loved ones. Anyone
entering your home (including you) should immediately feel peacefulness surround him or
her. By spending a few minutes each week, you can turn your home into a peaceful and
loving sanctuary.
Our homes are mirrors of ourselves. They reflect our interests, beliefs, our spirit and
our passions. Your home is not just an extension of your thoughts and feelings your
home is you! Homes are nourished by how we hold them in our hearts.
Each of us is surrounded by an energy field. Your home has an energy field, too. A
persons feelings imprint on their physical objects and surroundings. All the
feelings and thoughts of the current inhabitants as well as previous inhabitants influence
the emotional energy of your home. Each physical object inside the home has the emanations
of the people who previously owned it as well as the creator of the object. The thoughts,
personalities and activities of those who lived on the land before the house was built
also affect the emotional energy of the house. Your home is affected by the energy fields
surrounding it other buildings, electrical currents, trees, landscape, etc. The
most important thing influencing the energy of your home is the love that is given and
received within its walls.
Energy in a house is similar to a mountain stream. There are areas of the stream that pick
up sticks, leaves and other debris. Over time, the water flow becomes partially clogged
and sometimes stagnant. If you clear the debris the water begins to flow freely until it
becomes clogged again. Cleaning and clearing the energy of a house is similar to removing
debris from the mountain stream. You energize and revitalize the places where energy tends
to go dormant or stagnant. However, after a while the energy will become sluggish again,
so it is necessary to perform energy cleaning on a regular basis.
Ideas on how to improve and clean the energy of your home:
Always begin by calming and centering yourself. Begin by the front door and have it be your intent that you are going to improve and clean the energy in and around your home. A suggested affirmation would be:
I love myself; therefore, I provide for myself a comfortable home, one that fills all my needs and is a pleasure to be in. I fill the rooms with the vibration of love so that all who enter, myself included, will feel this love and be nourished by it. Louise Hay
As you clean, visualize the white protective light pouring from your hands into everything that you touch. Visualize that this light is clearing and removing any negative or stagnant energy.
Place fresh flowers or potpourri in each room OR light a candle in each room. In each room ask that all negative and stagnant energy leave.
Walk through each room with a burning stick of incense. In each room ask that all negative and stagnant energy leave.
Use a broom to sweep out any residue stress or negative energy lying around. Sweep it right out the front door.
As you vacuum, ask all negative or stagnant energy to leave the room. Visualize that unwanted energies are being sucked into the vacuum bag.
Open windows and doors wide and allow a fresh wind to move through the house. Visualize a cleansing white light moving from room to room.
Add wind chimes outside your house. Visualize that the sound of the wind chimes drives away any negative or stagnant energy from your home.
Add water fountains to the interior or exterior of your home. Visualize that the sound of running water drives away all negative and stagnant energy.
Use clapping OR bells ringing OR singing OR drums OR gongs in each room to drive out any negative or stagnant energy. Be sure to do the corners of each room.
Go around the house and place a drop of oil (see recipes at end of article) or sprinkle energized water on each window and in each corner of every room in the house. Ask that all negative and stagnant energy leave.
Use room freshener (see recipes at end of article) or an aroma lamp in each room. Ask all negative and stagnant energy to leave.

Additional times when energy cleaning is needed:
When was the last time you did a MAJOR house cleaning? Take time to go through each room

rid of it. How long has it been since an object was moved? More than a year? Move
furniture and objects in a room to change the energy.
